Entry 19 + 20

Hi,
entry 19:
My entry comes from an idea which I wanted to create a shop with "Angel Smile name". That is the reason I must think how to create a logo for my shop. I drew this work in Illustrator program.
Firstly, I thought this logo. A smile mouth with the couple of swings and a white circle on the top.

After that, I got another idea because I wanted to combine the text and image together.


The swings were drawn from simple lines. However, it still looks very smooth.
In addition, the words "Angel Smile" were combined to the Swings to create a smile mouth shape.
The white circle on the top of the work looks like a circle of an Angel.
Do you think this is a meaningful logo?
I did a meaningful and suitable logo for my future shop.

Entry 20:

This entry I got the idea from a Vietnamese woman with "Ao Dai". However, I wanted to make the Vietnamese women images are more smooth so I drew them from lines.



I changed some colors for this image.







Then, I thought some new ideas for my "Ao Dai" woman images.

This is "Ao Dai" at Ben Tre province in Vietname. The "Ben Tre" women are usually wearing Ao Dai and getting a long black hair.



I call this image "Ao Dai" student because the high- school girl must be wearing white "Ao Dai". Moreover, they usually use a violet ink pot



Finally, I combined the "Ao Dai" Woman with Autumn. It looks really romantic.

Entry 18

Hi,

This safe sex poster was done for the assignment A2B. It looks extremely simple but it is really meaningful.
My poster contains the picture of a gun which is gotten in a condom by a woman hand
The gun is a dangerous weapon which is a metaphorical image of a male organ. The meaning is that the condom is really useful to save people in sex.
Moreover, I used a woman hand instead of a man hand to warn the woman. The women should protect themselves by getting in condom for their lovers.
I arranged the word "sex" on the left because on the right of the image is so strong. I want to create a balance for my poster. In addition, I put the word "safety" the middle and made it bigger than "sex". The reason is that I want to focus on the safety. I want to say that safety is extremely important in sex.

Entry 17

Hello,

I did a flash about the word "bomb" and and create a DVD film interface.

The flash bomb is really simple. I depended on its meaning and made the letters "b, m, p" falling like bombs. The letter o is rolling to the letters "b, m ,b". When it created the word "bomb", it will be exploded.

Firstly, I got the background image on this page http://lnx.ginevra2000.it/Disney/2000_2001/lady_tramp_01lg.jpg
Then, I editted it on PhotoShop program. I cut the middle image from the original and reduce its size.
Then, I cut to get the frame of the middle image to decorate for the buttons. I arranged the buttons around the resized middle image. Finally, I got a main menu interface.

Secondly, I designed the scene selection interface. I also used four images from this page http://lnx.ginevra2000.it/Disney/lady2index.htm
At the middle, I created a bone button to go back the main menu scene. The bone was drawn on Illustrator program by me.

Thirdly, I created the setting scene with both subtitle and audio. I also arranged them symmetrically as the main menu and scene selection scenes.

Entry 16

Hi everybody,


The idea of this entry come from one comment of my friend for me. He said that if he is a director for horror film, he will invite me to become an actress for ghost character (He wants to say that I am ugly and terrible like a ghost).
Wow! I always wonder that if I am a ghost actress, what I'll look like. That is the reason why I did the below work.


What do you think about this image? Are you scared? I Changed a little bit the original image to get this horror picture. The face and the eyes were cut and adjusted the color and light to look more horror.
Then, I imported it to the Illustrator Program to edit text.

Two letters "o" were combined with the rest of letter to become two face with screaming mouth. The word "film" were also used Matisse ITC font and white color to make a little bit horror.

Entry 15

Hello everyone,




This entry was used from the original image in entry 3 (beautiful peacock) on week 2. This work was edited on PhotoShop program to make it more strange and focus on the peacock's body. I used the magnetic lasso tool to select the peacock's body. Then, I changed the color and light for the body. However, I didn't change a lot its color. I just made them to look more real and brighter.
The big tail of the peacock was also adjusted about color. I made them darker in order that the body of the peacock could be emphasized.


Next, I imported it to the Illustrator program to edit text.
I used the blackadder ITC font for the word "Peacock" because it has a little bit the same with the shape of the peacock body.
The text "A molty beauty" was arranged with a curve like the curve of the peacock feather. I also chose a soft font to represent the peacock beauty.

Entry 14

Hi,
This image was created from some my parts and some devices on Photo Shop Program. I called it, 'New Machine'. It is combination some my part with a screen of a computer,a DVD discs, a mobile phone and a webcam device.

I wanted to create an impressive face for my new machine. That is a reason why I chose a red color to become the main color for this work. In addition, I chose the red shirt image so the red color for face will be very suitable.

The face is really impressive with three eyes. Two of them were created from the Webcam image. However, I changed the light (Ctrl +L) and the original color to make them more attractive with a little bit of red color.

Two mobile phones were used the ears of the machine. Certainly, I also changed the color of them in order that they are more suitable to the machine.

Two discs on the face were used to decorate as two rosy-cheeks of a girl.
Three discs on her head were used to record everything from three eyes.

The dog also edited with two eyes from two Webcam devices. The dog was used like a camera machine which connect to the computer screen.

Entry 13_My Inside Nature

Hello everyone,

This is my first entry on week 7 and my assignment A2A. I want to post it into my blog to explain my idea for everybody.

Firstly, my face were created from two other halves of my different images. The half on my right looks really serious and the rest one looks extremely happy. This is my nature. There are two people with two opposite character inside me. I also don't understand myself. Sometimes, I am really serious, prissy and 'boil over with anger'. Normally, I am a happy and romantic girl as the left half which I presented.

The right eye was edited really big in order to focus on the special red point inside my right eye and present my reading and seeing hobbies. Moreover, I just believe what I saw. The disc on the right not only is a half of glasses but also the recording of my memory. On the disc, there are a picture of my family members and me. The picture with four people (my parents, my older sister and me) in the past is the happy time which I love much. I always wish that I can return that time. Another image is that I am wearing a pink 'Ao dai' (Vietnamese traditional dress). However, I am also drawing the word. Do you see the opposite things in the picture? 'Ao Dai' presents the graceful thing whereas the word presents for the strength. I used the picture because it represent for two opposite halves of my nature.

At the middle of my forehead, there is a image of Goddess of Mercy. She presents for my religion and my belief.

I love the dog very much. I bought a pink dress for her. I usually call her, 'my daughter'. That is the reason why I put a part of my face into her face. Now, she has a happy face with my smiling mouth.

I like the pink color and crazy with it. I have collected many things which have pink color. I took their photographs and edited them together. Finally, I got a pink background from all pink cute things which I love.

Entry 12

Hi everybody,

my 12th entry on this week is about a wild flower_ Water-hyacinth. It's really funny when I have been attracted by a really sad beauty of a wild plant "Water-hyacinth" in a small restaurant. The special thing is that these flowers were not only used to decorate for a dish but also used to eat with the dish.

The water-hyacinth plants drift and live on the rivers in Vietnam. They have green color and purple flowers. In the past, Vietnamese women's conditions were usually likened to these plants because of their unstable life.

I brought two branches of the most fresh flowers to home. However, I couldn't keep it's fresh and beauty for a long time. In fact, water- hyacinth flowers' conditions are the same their sad purple color. They will wilt very soon after they are picked up from the plants. That was the reason why I drew these flowers by my memory. When I went home, the flowers wilted. I put them to a plastic bottle of water. I put them to a plastic bottle instead of a beautiful vase because I want to keep their wild and simple beauty. Then, I drew them depend on my memory about the fresh flowers and the shape of the wilted flowers in the bottle by pencil and colored pencils . Then, I scanned it to the computer.




Next, I cut the main picture and put it in the new layer on Photo Shop program. After that, I gave a new layer with purple color on the top of the image layer. Finally, I got the below picture.




Next, I used the lighting effect and changed a little bit to get the below image.


Then I saved it with TIFF file and imported it to Illustrator Program. I edited the text here.

Entry 11

Hi everyone,

My idea comes from the moon symbol which I designed three week ago. I want to decorated s mandala about the moon and the sun.

My mandala was done on Illustrator program. I just used simple shapes, However, my mandala contains two meanings.

The first meaning is that it represents the planets. You see. There are nine lighting circle that are nine planets orbit around the sun. Moreover, at the middle, there is the moon symbol which represents the night. Certainly, the red circle with yellow and colorful light are sun.

The second meaning is that the earth and the circle of time night and day. The circle of night and day is the symbols of moon and sun at the middle. This is the same as the first meaning.
The light blue circle presents for a blue sky. The black part is the earth and the dark blue with white stroke means the sea with white waves.

This entry has a connection with the previous entry.

This is the mock up of my Dating website. It is a website for lovers so I chose pink is the main color.
Two little butterflies create a small heart at the middle. Moreover, they are flying near some green bamboo trees.
Bamboo is also a symbol of Vietnamese people. They present for a natural pure beauty.
I drew the bamboo trees and the butterflies on the Illustrator program.
Then, I placed them to the Photo Shop program and edited them.
The large couple of butterflies were reversed to create a heart. I reduced the opacity of them in order that I could put the text more easily.
The banner and buttons were designed from styles in Photo Shop. However, I changed shape and chose colors to get new styles for them.
Finally, I got a mock up for my Dating Web.

Entry 9

Hi everyone,

On week 5, I want show you a hand with five fingers.

You see my left hand.
Firstly, I scanned my left hand and used Photo-shop program to edit it. I selected filter/ Sketch? Bas relief to paint it with special green color.

Secondly, I must sketch a butterfly by paint and paper. I also think how to decorate it. After that, I drew it again on Illustrator program. Finally, I chose pink for the main color of the butterfly. Now, I got a picture of butterfly.Then, I changed it's size and reverse it to get three different color butterflies.


Finally, I combined all of my works to become a main picture. The idea means that a love tree is created from hand image.



I just want to give prominence to think about the value of humans' hands. In fact, the hands are really important and necessary to people. The hand can make growing plants, blooming flowers, and present a love (a soft hand of mother, a rough hand of dad). Moreover, there are hands by hands of couples.
All of them gave me a feeling to make this "Love Hand Tree".

Hello everyone,

You know. I showed you my idea for moon symbol in entry 2 on the first week.
Now, I will show you some my new ideas to decorate for my moon symbol.
Firstly, I translate my scanned image to bitmap image on Illustrator program.

Secondly, I edited the image more clearly and perfectly. Then, I thought a new idea. I not only wanted to create a full moon but also a half moon. I combines the outline of the girl's face to create a half moon (on the left of the girl). The half moon has a face of Dracula. Moreover, a black bat presents for the eye of the half moon. I saw Dracula, moon and bat usually appear at the time. That is the reason why I drew my half moon has a white pointed fang.
The girl with a black hair and pink face looks like a pink cloud and night sky. I put some yellow stars on her black hair. (the first below image)
After that, I changed my idea. I painted all the girl face black. (the second image)
The last image is put a big black shadow to get depth.

Entry 7

Hi everyone,
this is my first entry on week 4.

I did it for the Design competition for student diary 2008.

My idea came from my graduation (Diploma of Design) on 25th November, 2007. I think that students always hope graduation as soon as they can. That is the goal of most of RMIT students. They want to get the good international certificates at RMIT in other that they can be more confident to find the suitable jobs. That is the reason why I drew a mortarboard (with inside year number 2008) at the middle on the top.
All people with different skin colors (yellow, white and black) hand by hand create a curve at the bottom for the mortarboard. The people present for solidarity and an international university meaning at RMIT (means students and teacher from many different countries all over the world but they are still very good work- team).

The boy is very excited with graduation. His cool hair looks like a flame of zeal. He presents for dynamic students at RMIT.
The girl is also wearing a fashionable clothes (a long pull-over and a hold close short trousers)
The girl and the boy are holding the certificate together. This means this is an international university which suit with both male and female. Moreover, work-team is always given prominence.

Do you recognize the university name "RMIT"?
I will show you it right now. The girl's hair creates the letter "R". Two letters "M" and "I" constitute the mortarboard. The T-shirt of the boy creates for the letter "T".

The pink and blue oval background is a variant of a Yin Yang . It presents for male and female. In addition, at the middle of the Yin Yang, it creates a big letter "S" which presents for Vietnamese country's shape on the map.
I changed the color from black and white to pink and blue in other to suit with modern students. The girls love romantic of pink color. The boys loves strength of blue color.

The white outline will be the place to put the RMIT logo.

Entry 6 _ Eggs Picture by Egg shells

Hello everyone,

My idea came from the eggs which I usually use for my breakfast. In fact, I felt so pity when many beautiful egg shells have been thrown away. Moreover, I also wanted to draw a picture about the cute little chickens, and a hatch with the broken eggs. The egg shells are used to make a eggs picture that is so suitable and interesting. This is the reason why I chose this idea for my entry.

Firstly, I must collect more and more many egg shells the best. I also have to wash them cleanly and expose them to the sun until it's dry. This way would help to deodorize egg shells' smell (the 1st image).
Secondly, I think about an eggs picture in my mind and sketched it on an A3 paper-board by pencil.
Then, I smashed the egg shells became many little pieces and glued them in my sketched picture. Although, I got the outline, I was very difficult to glue egg shell pieces. However, I still finished it.

After that, I used water-color to paint my eggs picture. (the 2nd image)

Finally, I got a perfect eggs picture which was done by egg shells. (the final image)

Entry 5_Decorate for A3 drawing block

Hi,

On this week, I will show you my decorated products. Firstly, I will talk about how to design an unique nice cover for your drawing block.

To make this design, we need to buy an A3 landscape drawing block (the 1st image). There are some necessary material to decorate such as one of your picture, one glitter string, one roll of sticking- plaster, two tubes of silver and gold glitter glue, a A3 color wrapper, a couple of artificial eyes and some paper stars (the 2nd image).
I did the paper stars from some long pieces of glitter papers which you can buy in general stores.

Now, I will tell about how I design the drawing block.

Firstly, I used the green wrapper to cover the original drawing block and glued them together by sticking-plaster.
Then, I cut the glitter strings become three sections for three words which present my full name. After that, I curved and glued these string sections become the letters "Ng"_Nguyen, "Ph"_Phuong and my name "Tien". I also decorated my string name by glitter glue and some paper stars. Next, I glued a green band over the width of the drawing block and put the couple of artificial eyes at the middle. The band can be used as the same as a lock to keep the drawing block close. Finally, I put my picture oblique at the middle on the top and also decorated around it by these paper stars (the 3rd image).

I had also decorated a A3 portrait drawing block in DIM2 class. I had just changed a little bit and used some different decorations. (the final image)

Entry 4: Rocks Decoration

Last week, I collected three white rocks with different shapes in my garden. (1st image_one of them)

Then, I saw my dog, Lady was laying down on a carpet. (2nd image)

I thought that the rock shape has a connection with the shape of the dog so I decided to draw a laying dog on the white rock.

Firstly, I sketched a laying dog shape on the rock by pencil. Then, I drew and painted it by water-color. It was really difficult to draw it like my dog so I changed a little bit by using some different colors. Finally, I got a sleeping rock dog (3rd image).

However, it didn't finish my work. I thought that my rock dog could be disappeared because the water-color could be damaged by water.

That is the reason why I used a bottle of glossy lacquer to make a cover for my rock dog. It helped my dog be more safe by water and it more beautiful. (4th image)

You see. In the 5th image, my dog was really amazed by my rock dog.

Two rest rocks which were drawn faces of a woman and man which depended on rocks shapes. This design came from my idea about a happy couple. Depending on the rocks shapes, I imagined and sketched their faced on the rocks. Then, I also used water-color and glossy lacquer to make them as the same as making the rock dog. (6th image)

Finally, I got a happy family include a husband and wife and a lazy dog. Maybe I will make a rock house for them in the future. (7th image)

Entry 3: Artificial Peacock from natural materials

Hi everyone,

My idea came from the peacock image which I took when I went to a zoo.

To design the second peacock image, I must think about which material should be used.

When I saw the fern trees of my father, I was attracted by their leaves shape. They are really like feathers of the real peacock. In addition, both of the real peacock and the fern leaves come from nature. They have a connection to each other. I think that it is extremely suitable to combine them together.

Firstly, I collected the material to create my own peacock. they conclude three fern leathers, glue, water colors, three artificial leaves, a piece of paper-board, a white A3 size paper-board, and two tupes of gold and silver glitter glue.

Secondly, I sketched out a shape of peacock body without long feathers on the paper-board piece by pencil. Then, I drew and painted more perfectly and carefully by water-color. Now, I got a colorful picture of peacock body. Next, I put it in front of a fan in other that it's colors are dried more fastly.

Thirstly, I used green, violet and dark brown water colors to draw some feathers of the peacock on the A3 paper-board. After that, I glued three fern leathers between the water-color feathers and the largest one at the middle. Then, I glued three artificial leaves in front of the fern feathers.

After that, I glued the peacock body in front of the feathers and at the middle of the picture. Next, I decored my peacock by the glitter glue tupes.

Finally, I got a beautiful and impressive peacock (the 2nd image).

Entry 2

Hello,

Firstly, I and my partner found many images about moon. We thought that moon and woman has a connection. My partner thought that should draw a woman with a transparent moon behind her face and her hair looks like cloud.
However, I gave an idea that I will draw a woman face in the middle to present for the moon and the soft hair at two sides to present for clouds (1st image).

After that, I saw the photographs of moon in the internet .

There are many circle holes on the face of moon.
That is one reason why I draw the circle with cogs. The second reason is the cog-wheel usually turn around so it present for dynamic and the change of time (the cycle of time).
The moon often appears with the shape of women so I want to put a woman inside the cog-wheel.
Firstly, I thought that I should draw a naked woman with a long hair inside the cog-wheel (3rd image).
My partner gave me an advice that I should draw the roman number in each the cog. These numbers present for the time number in a clock (4th image).
After that, when I came home, I thought that I should draw a woman with a long hair which create a half moon shape inside the cog-wheel (full moon) (5th image).
Then, I scanned all my pictures and changed the 5th image to bit map image in Illustrator program (the last image).
